Hey there, I am Rohit and I would like to welcome you all to my little writing space. Over the last decade, I have had the opportunity to build and manage high performing teams. I have also enjoyed reading, writing, and reflecting on management, technology, philosophy, and behavioral science. It is fascinating to see how they all come together to build and manage teams.
This newsletter is focused on providing you the necessary tools and techniques for building and managing high performing teams. Whether you are a manager or aspire to be one, I have you covered.
Philosophy and observation have played a key role in my life. It has helped me be a better manager and more importantly a more informed human being. I have always believed that each one of us has a first philosopher in our lives, even if we don't know it. The greatest philosophers are those who have an impact on our life without us ever being aware of it.
In my life, it was my father.
I owe many of the insights I share here to the countless hours I spent with my father. He molded my thinking and approach. Just like a bird feeds its young with small, chewed bits of food, he broke down complex concepts so I could understand and visualize them. He taught me about work, life, people, movies, music, and most importantly the fundamental approach to thinking. I owe it all to him.
I have also had the opportunity to learn from other wise giants in life and work. I believe that spending time with people, listening, observing, just being in their company, is a learning experience. This includes my family, friends, managers, peers, team members, and everyone I have interacted with. I strive to be a perpetual learner, soaking up knowledge like a sponge.
Now is the time for me to pay it forward.
I hope to share the wisdom of the greats along with a few insights that I was able to learn along the way. Join me on this journey as I journal relentlessly, sharing all that I have with you. To start off, I plan to publish weekly and slowly progress to publishing 2-3 times a week.
Welcome!
The start got me excited already to see what’s coming next as I await in anticipation. Great work, Rohit!
